DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman returns to action Monday with a 3 p.m. matinee against Prairie View A&M in Historical Moore Gymnasium.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2008-2009 last Monday with a 77-59 road win at Florida International that was the program's largest margin of victory on the road against a non-conference DI opponent since an 82-63 win at Campbell in 1983-84.

Bethune-Cookman is also looking for its first 3-0 start since 1991-92.

The  teams met last year in Texas, with Prairie View taking a 66-64 win.

This begins a stretch that sees the Lady Wildcats play at home in six of their next seven contests.

B-CU UPDATE: The Lady Wildcats' current streaks: Regular season wins (11), home wins (6) and games with a three-pointer (125 dating back to 3/12/13 vs. Del State at MEAC tournament) … Ashanti Hunt nearly pulled off a triple double last week at FIU with 15 points, a career-high 16 boards and seven assists in addition to stopping FIU's leading scorer down the stretch … Chasimmee Brown's 15 points against FIU gave her consecutive double-figure games for the first time in her career … Angel Golden leads the team in scoring (18.5) and Hunt in rebounding (10.5) … After being one of the nation's top defensive teams, B-CU's 89 points a game average is 23^rd in the nation at this early juncture … Emily Williams is 12^th in the nation with an assist-to-turnover ration of +7.

ABOUT PRAIRIE VIEW: The Panthers are off to a 2-0 after a 99-56 win over Texas-Tyler and a 116-73 romp over Arlington Baptist … Shala Dobbins has averaged 27.5 points and Jordyn Penniman 21 in the first two games … Dominique Newman has led the team on the boards with an average of nine per game. The Panthers lost in the opening round of the SWAC tournament to Texas Southern last year.
