DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman begins a challenging phase of its 2017-18 schedule when the Lady Wildcats host Jacksonville Sunday at 3 p.m. in Historic Moore Gym.

Three of the next four opponents made it to the post-season last year, starting with Jacksonville (6-4), who played in the WNIT with the Lady Wildcats (6-2) last season.

Sunday's game wraps up a four-game home stand for Bethune-Cookman, who will compete in the Hatter Classic next Wednesday and Thursday and travel to Miami to face "The U" on December 28.

B-CU UPDATE: The Lady Wildcats are on their second three-game winning streak after Wednesday's 68-56 win against the SWAC's Southern … B-CU is 5-1 at home this season … The team is off to its 8-game start since 1985-86 … B-CU leads the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in scoring (71.8), assists (15.9) … FG% (42.5) and rebounds (43.75) … Chasimmie Brown has three double-doubles and leads the league in FG% (55.6) … Ashanti Hunt is fourth in assists (4.1) …Angel Golden had 14 points, Hunt 12 and Emily Williams 10 in last year's 69-63 setback at Jacksonville… B-CU 2-1 on Sunday this season.
