DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Brianna Battle scored 16 points in Bethune-Cookman's 68-58 loss to Jacksonville Sunday afternoon in Historic Moore Gym.
Jasmyn Brown scored 12 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter, and Kayla Gordon scored 14 points as the Dolphins (7-4) snapped the Lady Wildcats' three-game winning streak.
Bethune-Cookman (6-3) led 32-25 at halftime, but saw that lead turn into a 42-37 deficit in the third quarter. Two Battle free throws and an
Emily Williams three-pointer would send the game into the fourth quarter tied at 42.
Angel Golden tied the game at 48 with 7:19 remaining, but Jacksonville pulled away with a 15-2 run that included three straight Brown three pointers.
Chasimmie Brown scored 15 points for Bethune-Cookman, while
Ashanti Hunt added 13.
The Lady Wildcats face Texas State at the Hatter Classic hosted by Stetson University Wednesday at 3 p.m.
