DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's Angel Golden has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player Of The Week, it was announced today [December 26, 2017].

The 5-8 junior from Tampa averaged 22.5 points and 2.0 steals per game in helping Bethune-Cookman go 2-0 in the Stetson Hatter Classic this past week, picking up wins over Texas State and Richmond.

She was a combined 13-for-26 (.500) from the floor, scoring 24 points on 7-for-10 shooting against Richmond – in a game where she also went 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Against Texas State, Golden had 21 points and three steals.

For the season, Golden is averaging a team-high 13.9 points per game.

Bethune-Cookman (8-3) faces Miami Thursday evening.
