DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Alvaro Barrera tied the Bethune-Cookman Men's Tennis career singles victory Friday in the Wildcats' 5-2 home opener loss to College of Charleston.
The senior matched Diego Garavito's mark of 42 with his win at No. 4 singles.
"Alvaro has proven that he is a no-quit player," said B-CU Head Coach Val Vallucci. "He will go toe to toe with anyone."
Juan Diego Ruiz registered the other singles victory for the Wildcats (0-5).
"The team has certainly shown improvement overall over the last five matches," Villucci said. "There are still some tactics that we are trying to incorporate into their game which I feel will help in their future results."
