PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Reggie Baker scored 26 points in Bethune-Cookman's 82-81 overtime loss to Maryland Eastern Shore in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Monday night inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.
Bakari Copeland's two free throws with 18 seconds remaining gave the Hawks (9-17 overall, 6-5 MEAC) the lead. Bethune-Cookman (5-20, 2-9 MEAC) had the final shot, but
Diamante Lewis' jumper was short.
Lewis gave the Wildcats an 81-80 lead on a lay-up with 30 seconds left. He finished with 15 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and six assists.
In regulation,
Ulmer Manzie's traditional three-point play gave the Wildcats a 74-71 advantage with 59 seconds left. After a Logan McIntosh free throw, Copeland (22 points) sent the game into overtime with a basket with 34 ticks remaining.

Quinton Forrest and
Brandon Tabb each scored 12 points for the Wildcats, who had a 66-54 lead with 12:06 left in the second half.
Baker, a senior, was 10-for-23 from the field, and also had eight rebounds and five assists.
The Wildcats return to the court Saturday, Feb. 18, when hosting Hampton inside Moore Gymnasium at 4 p.m.
