NORFOLK, Va. –
Chris Adams and
Larry Brihm, Jr. of Bethune-Cookman Football each collected individual weekly awards from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) on Monday, Sept. 11, as announced from the MEAC Office in Norfolk, Virginia.

Chris Adams, a 6-4, 300-pound offensive center for the Wildcats, was selected as this week's MEAC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week. The Dayton, Ohio senior helped anchor the BCU offensive line in a key non-conference road win at Southland Conference opponent Southeastern Louisiana over the weekend in Hammond, Louisiana. In just his second-ever start at center for the Wildcats, Adams graded out at 93 percent on all assignments, failing to give up a sack from his position on the field. He was never penalized, and he was key in blocking for quarterback
Larry Brihm, Jr. to pass for 354 yards and a career-high 25 completions. He also helped block for the Cats to rack up 128 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns on the night.

Brandon parker of North Carolina A&T was also a recipient of the MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Week award.

As for
Larry Brihm, Jr., the Delray Beach, Florida product was instrumental in the Wildcats win at Southeastern Louisiana, on his was to being selected MEAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The Delray Beach, Florida product from The Villages completed a career-high 25 passes on 39 attempts for 354 yards as he led the Wildcats to their first-ever win over a Southland Conference opponent – in what was also the school's first meeting with an SLC foe as well. He passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as the latter was the game-winner in the fourth quarter.

Also tabbed MEAC Offensive Player of the Week was fellow quarterback Lamar Raynard of North Carolina A&T.

Bethune-Cookman continues to stay in Baton Rouge, Louisiana following Hurricane Irma, after the string storm moved through the Florida. The Wildcats hope to travel back to Daytona Beach on Tuesday evening, before turning their attention to Florida Atlantic. The Owls and Wildcats are scheduled to meet in Boca Raton on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m.
