NORFOLK, Va. –
Kennedy Ndukwe of Bethune-Cookman Football has been tabbed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week as announced Monday afternoon by the league office in Norfolk, Virginia.

In Bethune-Cookman's 35-20 win over Savannah State from the weekend, Ndukwe – a 6-1, 155-pound senior safety from Baltimore, Maryland, posted six tackles (five solo) with a forced fumble and a tackle for loss duringÂ
Saturday's win at Savannah State.

Norfolk State University quarterback Juwan Carter was selected as the MEAC Offensive Player of the Week, while North Carolina A&T State's Malik Johnson received Offensive Lineman of the Week honors. Norfolk State's Brandon Savage was tabbed Rookie of the Week while Florida A&M punter Chris Faddoul was named Specialist of the Week.

The Wildcats step away from conference play this weekend as they host Mississippi Valley State for a BCU Homecoming weekend on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
