DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Another double-double for
Jordan Jefferson in Bethune-Cookman's 3-0 (25-16,25-17,25-22) loss to Florida Gulf Coast Tuesday in Historic Moore Gym.
The sophomore from San Antonio finished with 11 kills and 16 digs – her third straight double-double, 14
th this season and 26
th of her career.
Skyla Whittaker and
Shayla Eugene each had 13 digs and
Micaiah Hill 10 for the Lady Wildcats, now 10-12. Setter
J'nai Higgins posted 28 assists.
Offensively, Sterling Williams had eight kills while
Faith Landreneaux and
Delaine Fulton six apiece, Fulton added four blocks.
Courtney Vanliew's 16 kills led FGCU (15-6) while Snow Burhman added 13.
Fulton and Higgins combined on a block that tied the third set at 22 before the Eagles closed the match three unanswered points.
B-CU travels to Coppin State and Howard this weekend.
