WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Bethune-Cookman takes the Southern Division No. seed to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament as the Lady Wildcats meet Coppin State in the quarterfinals Friday at 8 p.m. on the campus of Howard University.
The Lady Wildcats (15-15) recovered from an 0-2 start in league play to challenge for the No. 1 seed before finishing with a 7-3 mark for the second time in three years.
Friday's winner will face the Howard-North Carolina Central Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday's championship is also slated for an 8 p.m.
BCU fell in the opening round to Hampton last year. The Wildcats met Coppin State in the regular season, taking a 3-0 decision. The two teams last met in the tournament in 2015, and BCU also won that match 3-0 en route to its first-ever championship match appearance.
