• Injuries continue to plague the Wildcats as
Que'shaun Byrd (RB) and
Sam Marc (CB) have been ruled out for the remainder of
the season.
• For the second consecutive week, redshirt sophomore quarterback
David Israel will call the signals for the Maroon and Gold in place of
Akevious Williams, who is still listed as "doubtful" heading into the weekend.
• Bethune-Cookman has not lost in Baltimore since 2006 when the Cats dropped a 28-14 decision to the Bears.

The Coach

Â
The Weather
Projected temperatures on game day: Daytona Beach – 71/66. Baltimore, Md. – 59/42 (20% chance of rain).
Â
#HighFive —
1. Uriel Hernandez's first punts of the year came at Nebraska with a third quarter kick pinning the Huskers back inside the five-yard line.
2. Tydarius Peters' second quarter interception at Nebraska was the 11th interception of the year for the BCU defense.
3. The BCU defense has blocked three kicks this season, including returning a blocked PAT for a safety three weeks ago at South Carolina State.
4. Senior kicker
Uriel Hernandez is the fourth kicker in BCU history to amass 200 points in his career.
5. Bethune-Cookman Head Coach
Terry Sims is seeking his fourth consecutive win against Morgan State, and - "technically" - his fifth overall.
Â
A Win Over Morgan State Would —
• Give Head Coach
Terry Sims his 25th win overall...
• Be the 498th win all-time in school history...
• Keep
Terry Sims' record against Morgan State spotless at 4-0 all-time...
• Be the fifth consecutive win over the Bears at Hughes Stadium...
Â
A Road To Remember —
• For the eighth consecutive season, Bethune-Cookman opened the year on the road, so to speak. Two times (2011, '12), the Cats opened up in the
MEAC/SWAC Challenge presented by Walt Disney World in nearby Orlando.
• This is the third time during the span that BCU stepped out of the state of Florida for a season opener. BCU played at Tennessee State (2013) and North Texas (2016) in the stretch.
• Technically, BCU opened up the 2016 campaign in Denton, Texas while the "original" season opener was canceled due to weather as part of the
MEAC/SWAC Challenge that was held at Municipal Stadium and presented by ESPN.
Â
Sims City —
• With nine (9) wins during his inaugural season at the helm of the Bethune-Cookman football program, head coach
Terry Sims matched former head coach Wesley Moore with the second-most wins in a first season as head coach of the Maroon and Gold.
• Only head coaches Rudolph "Bunky" Matthews (1947) and Brian Jenkins (2010) had more wins, with each collecting 10 during their debut campaign. However, both of those seasons contained 12-game slates, as opposed to just 11 for Sims and Moore, respectfully.
Â
Conference Misses —
• Bethune-Cookman's two conference "misses" in 2018 are Delaware State and Norfolk State. This marks the second of two seasons the Wildcats will miss the two northern foes, respectfully.
Â
Next Up —
• It's going to be a short week as Bethune-Cookman prepares for a Thursday night ESPNU matchup with North Carolina Central on November 8. The Wildcats welcome the Eagles to Daytona Stadium for a kickoff set at 7 p.m.
• This will be the first ESPNU Thursday night contest for the Wildcats at Daytona Stadium since 2015 when BCU defeated South Carolina State.
