Cletrell Pope were honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) on Tuesday for their outstanding performances. Maitland was named the MEAC's Co-Player of the Week, and Pope was the Defensive Player of the Week.

Maitland has posted double-figures in three-straight, including 23 vs. Stetson in an 84-74 victory on Monday, and 17 against Omaha on Nov. 20. He dished out eight assists in each contest and has claimed three steals in each of his last four games. The junior from Daytona Beach shot 3-4 from distance against the Hatters and made six field goals in both games during the timespan.

Pope has been a menace on the defensive end in his first season of action with the Wildcats. He pulled down 14 rebounds against Stetson, including five on the offensive end. He had seven defensive boards against Omaha. The redshirt-junior has totaled three blocks in each of the last three games. Pope has also been a force on the offensive end. He shot 7-8 from the floor against the Hatters for 15 points, and is averaging 11 per-game.

Both are among the MEAC leaders in several categories. Maitland is second in total steals (18) and average (2.57). He is fifth in assists (30) and average (4.3), and sixth with his 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. Pope paces the group in the following: blocks per-game (2.29), defensive rebounding average (6.71), double-doubles (3), rebounding average (10.4), total blocks (16), and total rebounds (73).

The Wildcats conclude a three-game homestand on Saturday, Dec. 2, against FAU. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. and tickets are available at the BCU Box Office and on
www.Ticketmaster.com. BCU is also participating in the annual
Toys for Tots toy drive. An unwrapped toy is good for free admission to the upper bowl, and the combination of an unwrapped toy and five dollars is good for a seat in the lower bowl.
