BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The second week of the 2018 season takes Bethune-Cookman to Florida Atlantic for the FAU Invitational beginning Friday.

The Lady Wildcats (1-2) will meet the The Citadel (1-2) and St. Peter's (2-5) at 10 a.m and 4:30 p.m. Friday, then conclude the trip with host FAU (0-3) Saturday at noon.

It's the second of four tournaments for B-CU leading up to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.

LAST LOOK: B-CU made a bit of history last weekend during Head Coach Brittany Williams' Texas homecoming with its victory over Texas Southern marking the program's first season opening win since 2006. J'Nai Higgins garnered All-Tournament honors while Faith Landreneaux finished the tournament with 10 service aces, the fourth-best total in the nation for opening weekend. Jordan Jefferson led the offense with 22 kills, while Tynesha Adams and Skyla Whittaker posted 14 apiece.

ABOUT CITADEL: The Bulldogs registered a win against the MEAC's Coppin State at the UNC-Asheville tournament after dropping straight-set losses to Appalachian State and UNC-Asheville. Sharlisa DeJesus had a team-high 37 kills last week.

ABOUT ST. PETERS:  Victories over New Jersey Institute of Technology and Lafayette College are the program's first since November 2015. Freshman Alanis Alvarado leads the team with 87 kills and, 92 digs.

ABOUT FAU: The Owls' opening weekend losses were to Florida Gulf Coast, Miami and UCF.
