@BCUVolleyball Home Stand Ends With Setback To CSU

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jordan Jefferson had 10 kills in Bethune-Cookman's 3-0 (25-21,25-18,25-19)  Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference  loss to Coppin State in the final match of a five-match home stand Sunday afternoon in Moore Gymnasium.

The junior from San Antonio fell two digs shy of a double-double with eight, but did close to within 26 digs of the 1,000 career mark.

Ryleigh Taylor posted 24 assists and 11 digs for the Lady Wildcats, now 6-16 overall and 3-5 in MEAC play. Freshman Bailey Robinson added eight kills, and Shayla Eugene had 18 digs,

Paola Caten and Miajavon Coleman each had a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs as the Eagles (9-13,5-3) won for the first time ever in Moore Gym.

BCU travels to Florida Gulf Coast Tuesday and resumes MEAC play next weekend with a road swing at Delaware State and Maryland-Eastern Shore.
