DOVER, Del. -- Ten things to watch Saturday as Bethune-Cookman returns to action with a 2 p.m. Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up with Delaware State.
1- The Celebration Bowl scenario:Â It's simple. Win all three games in November and the Wildcats are in Atlanta. For now, it's about going 1-0 this week as the Wildcats (6-2 overall, 4-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) to try to shake off a homecoming loss to South Carolina State.
2- Bye Bye Bye: The Wildcats didn't have a bye week in 2018. They are 2-1 coming off bye weeks in the
Terry Sims era.
3. BCU hasn't lost two consecutive MEAC games since dropping three in a row to Savannah State, North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T in 2016.
4. 2016 was also the last time the Wildcats and the Hornets (1-8,0-6) met with BCU taking a 41-10 homecoming decision that saw Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton visit. BCU's last visit to Dover saw the Wildcats take a 49-21 decision in 2015.
5. Sims is 25-10 in MEAC play and 2-0 vs. Delaware State.
