JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Isaiah Bailey and
Jordan Preaster each scored 15 points in Bethune-Cookman's 82-60 loss at Jacksonville Saturday night.
David Bell had a 22-point, 15-rebound double-double as the Dolphins (5-6) scored the game's first 19 points as they handed the Wildcats (5-5) their third consecutive loss.
A Bailey jumper brought the Wildcats back to 31-23 with 7:50 remaining, but the Dolphins pushed the lead back up to 19 at 44-25 on a Bell lay-up with 3:57 left. Jacksonville led 49-32 at halftime.
Preaster closed it to 53-41 with 15:23 remaining, but the Wildcats would go scoreless the next nine minutes.
Mailk Maitland added 12 points for the Wildcats, while
Houston Smith finished with 10 rebounds.
BCU plays at California Baptist next Saturday.
