@CatsTennis Drops Two To NCCU

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Bethune-Cookman's opening weekend of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division play ended with both teams losing to North Carolina Central Sunday at Bacon Park Tennis Club.

The men (5-8 overall, 1-1 MEAC) dropped a 4-3 MEAC South decision to North Carolina Central (3-8,2-0) while the women (3-8, 1-1) fell 6-1 to the Eagles (6-9, 2-1)

Victor Castro, Jose Plazas and Juan Navarro registered the Wildcat points. Plazas pulled BCU to a 3-3 tie after North Carolina Central took leads of 2-0 and 3-1.

Michelle Ncube registered the lone Bethune-Cookman point in the women's match.

The women return to action Saturday, hosting Southern at 2 p.m. The men are off until April 4, where they and the women will face Florida A&M at the United States Tennis Academy in Lake Nona.
