WICHITA, Kan. – Tyler Krull allowed just one earned run over five innings of action but Wichita State defeated Bethune-Cookman, 7-0, Sunday at Eck Stadium.
Krull (0-4) took the tough-luck loss after allowing the run on just four hits. He totaled two strikeouts and two walks in his five innings.
The Wildcats (9-20) could only muster three hits against the Shockers (16-12).
Nate Sterijevski led the BCU offense with a 1-for-4 effort with a double.
Brady Norris pitched out of the bullpen with one hit in an inning of work. He struck out a Shocker and did not walk any.
Clayton McGinnis (3-2) got the win with seven innings and three hits. WSU gained separation with a six-run eighth.
The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 2, at North Florida.
