LAST LOOK: Jordan Jefferson and Faith Landreneaux

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – One last look at the careers of Jordan Jefferson and Faith Landreneaux, both of whom have completed their Bethune-Cookman matriculation and have elected to forego their senior season of competition.

#WHATTAPLAYER: Jefferson, a San Antonio product, finishes her career fourth on the all-time kills (872) and third on the all-time digs lists (1,070) in addition to being the all-time attempts leader with 1,332.

Of the three 1,000 dig performers in program history, she was the only one to reach the century mark in three years. Jefferson was within 195 digs of surpassing Normarie Rolon for the all-time mark.

Her career high was 28 on two occasions, against South Carolina State in 2018 and in 2019 against North Carolina A&T the following year during a four-match stretch of 20-dig nights. Jefferson had the single-season digs record for a year, but Shayla Eugene topped that 464 total with 530 in 2019.

TOIL AND TROUBLE: Jefferson finished with 44 career-doubles, most in program history.  Her career began with a 15-kill, 13-dig night at Clemson in the 2017 season, starting a stretch of nine straight double-doubles her freshman year. She had one 20-20 – a 21-kill, 22-dig effort in a 3-2 loss at North Carolina Central.

KILL SHOT: Jordan had six 20-kill matches, with highs of 23 at South Florida in 2017 and at Florida A&M in 2018, which leads to…
.
SINCE THIS IS BETHUNE-COOKMAN: Jefferson finished 3-3 against that team from Tallahassee, including a 3-1 road upset in her final meeting. Of course, she had a double-double – 10 kills, 13 digs.

THE MACHINE: Landreneaux, also a Texas (Carthage) product, wraps up her career at seventh on the all-time blocks list with 212. She's one of only six players to post a double-figure single-match total (10 vs. Florida Atlantic in 2018) and her nine block effort against Nichols State in 2019 keyed an early season non-conference win.

Her career-high 15 kills in her debut against Jacksonville in 2017 earned her the nickname of "Machine" as her career progressed. The nickname stuck.

PLAYING THE PERCENTAGES:  Landreneaux's hitting percentage of .360 in 2019 was the second-highest single-season finish in program history, trailing only the 2008 mark of .378 by Chelle Ticeson. Her best single-match night was against North Florida in 2019, hitting .650 on 13 kills in 20 attempts with no errors.

A-C-E: Landreneaux registered seven service aces in the 2018 season opener against Texas Southern, one of the top five totals in the nation that weekend and the most for a B-CU player since Krysta Gardner against USC-Upstate in 2011.

AND SINCE THIS IS BETHUNE-COOKMAN: With a missed match due to injury in 2019, Landreneaux finished with a winning record (3-2) against the Rattlers. She went out strong (19 points of 13 kills, an ace, four solo blocks and two block assists) in that 2019 road victory.
