DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman split a run-rule doubleheader with Fairfield Tuesday, winning the opener 10-1 before dropping the second 10-2.
The Lady Wildcats (5-26) host Eastern Kentucky today at 1 p.m.
GAME ONE
Kaiya Epps-Lee homered for the second straight game, and BCU scored seven in the fourth for its second straight win.
Cameron Eskew Knox and
Kayla Traylor each had a two-run single in the rally.
In addition to her two-run homer in the first, Epps-Lee added an RBI single in the second.
Victoria Guzman lost her shutout bid with a fifth-inning home run.
GAME TWO
Epps-Lee gave BCU a 2-1 lead with a first-inning single, but Fairfield would score three runs in each of the next three innings.
Haley Parks had two hits for BCU.
