DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped both games of Wednesday's doubleheader with Ball State, dropping the first game 11-1 and the second 9-0 at Sunnyland Park.
The Lady Wildcats return to action Friday at the Boombah Soldiers Creek Tournament in Longwood, meeting Detroit Mercy at 11 a.m. and Creighton at 1:30 p.m.
GAME ONE
BCU's lone run came in the sixth when
Quianah Mitchell scored on
Kaiya Epps-Lee's sacrifice fly.
Haley Parks,
Jacki Smith and
Yvonne Siordia had hits for BCU.
GAME 2
The Cardinals (16-6) held BCU to four hits.
BCU threated in the second, but
Samantha Kelley was thrown out at home while trying to score on
Carrington Robinson's single.
Mitchell,
Isabella Sandoval and
Elise Gibbs also had hits for the Wildcats.
