LONGWOOD, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped two games Saturday at the Spring Games, falling 3-0 to Cleveland State 3-0 and Long Island 9-1 at Soldiers Creek Park.
The Wildcats (3-25) conclude the weekend Sunday at 2 p.m. against Longwood.
GAME 1
BCU outhit Cleveland State 5-4, but the Vikings (5-7) got a two-run homer and an unearned run in the third.
Haley Parks and
Sasha Killings each had two hits for the Wildcats, with Parks recording a first inning double.
Jacki Smith had two stolen bases.
GAME 2
Carrington Robinson tied the game in the third when she scored on Parks' infield single, but Long Island (10-12) answered in the bottom half of the inning and pulled away with a seven-run fifth.
Quianah Mitchell and Smith also had hits for BCU.
