LONGWOOD, Fla. – Kaiya Epps-Lee homered and drove in three runs as Bethune-Cookman concluded the Spring Games with a 7-4 victory over Longwood Sunday that stopped an eighth game losing streak.
The Wildcats (4-25) scored four runs in the first, capitalizing on two Longwood errors and a catcher's interference call that extending the inning.
Haley Parks and  Epps-Lee each had an RBI single in the inning.
Epps-Lee smacked her second homer of the week and third of the season the next inning to increase BCU's lead to 6-1.
Parks picked up her second RBI of the game the next inning, bringing home Cameron Eskew-Knox to make it a 7-1 game.
Longwood (8-11) scored three in the sixth to make it interesting, but a

Jacki Smith play at third and a
Victoria Guzman strikeout killed the rally, then Guzman only gave up a two-out single in the seventh to preserve the win.
Epps-Lee finished 3-4, while Parks posted her team-high seventh multi-hit game with two hits. Parks also had two hits.
Guzman (4-14) walked two and struck out three.
BCU hosts Fairfield Tuesday afternoon in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
