DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman football host Mississippi Valley State University for Homecoming 2021 and a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) regular season matchup.

The Wildcats and the Delta Devils have been battling on the football field since 1968. Today marks the 6^thmatchup between the two programs with BC-U holding a 4-1 lead in the overall series. Bethune-Cookman has won the last four meetings, while defeating MVSU in their last game 22-6 in 2019.

B-CU enters the game with an 0-5 overall record and 0-2 in SWAC play. Last week the Wildcats traveled to Orangeburg, S.C. to take former MEAC foe the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University. Bethune-Cookman mounted a ferocious comeback in the 4^th quarter before falling to SCSU 42-35.

Mississippi Valley State comes into the game 1-3 and 0-1 in the SWAC. Last week the Delta Devils scored late in the 4^th quarter to secure a 17-16 victory over Norh Carolina Central in non-conference play.

A homecoming victory will give Bethune-Cookman their first-ever SWAC win since becoming official members in July.
