BOCA RATON, Fla. – Morgan Beacham scored a career-high 22 in Bethune-Cookman's 85-65 loss at Florida Atlantic Sunday afternoon.

Alexa Harris's 19 points and Janeta Rozentale's double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds led five Owls in double figures as the home team shot 75 percent in the third quarter to break away from a 34-26 halftime lead.

Beacham was 8-15 from the field. She scored the final seven points of the opening quarter to help the Wildcats close to 15-13.

Camary Harris brought B-CU to 25-24 with three minutes left in the first half, but the Owls went on a 9-2 run to take an eight-point advantage at intermission

Taylor Williams scored 13 points and Harris 11 for B-CU, now 1-2. Imani Reid scored eight points and Tania White posted seven points and 15 rebounds.

The Wildcats travel to Troy Thursday.
