DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  – Outside hitter Jasmine Moore was named to the All-SWAC Second Team, the league office announced Thursday.

Moore led the Wildcats offensively throughout the 2021 season. She finished sixth in the SWAC in total points with 251.5, eighth in points per set with 2.86, and sixth in kills with 212 – each of those marks led the Wildcats. Moore also led the Wildcats and finished among SWAC leaders with 24 service aces.

Defensively, Moore finished fifth on a prolific blocking team with 21 block assists and five solo blocks – she also finished second on the Wildcats with 163 digs.

She turned in one of the most explosive offensive performances in the SWAC on Oct. 31 with 19 kills against Texas Southern. Her other season-highs included 15 digs vs. Prairie View A&M and four blocks at Stetson and at Alabama A&M.

"Jasmine came up big for us all season," Wildcats head coach Brittany Williams said. "She contributes on every side of the game and it was great to watch her grow as a player this season. Her energy on the attack kept us in a lot of games. She works hard and I'm excited to see how much further she can take her game."
