STARKVILLE, Miss. – Bethune-Cookman's venture into the Southeastern Conference started with a 94-53 loss at Mississippi State Monday.
Jerkala Jordan's 20 points led four Bulldogs (4-0) in double figures as they scored 13 unanswered points to break open a 5-5 first-quarter tie and then outscored the Wildcats (1-4) 24-6 in the second quarter.
Morgan Beacham was the lone Wildcat in double figures with 12 points.
Kayla Clark had a double-figure rebounding game, finishing with a season-high 10.
Kayla White and
Tatum Hayes each scored nine points for B-CU, while
Tania White added eight and
Camary Harris seven.
B-CU meets another SEC team – Alabama – on Sunday.
