.@BCUVolleyball 5th in SWAC Preseason Poll

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its 2021 Volleyball Predicted Order of Finish Thursday with Bethune-Cookman tabbed to finish fifth in the 12-team league.

The poll of the league head coaches and sports information directors selected Alabama A&M as the league favorite, followed by 2019 tournament champ Alabama State, Jackson State and Prairie View A&M. B-CU and Florida A&M, both making their SWAC debut this season, rounded out the top six.

"After being out last season due to Covid, we're just happy to be back on the court, together and playing," said Head Coach Brittany Williams. "We look forward to joining the SWAC and we plan to compete every opportunity we get."

B-CU returns to action this year making its Southwestern Conference Athletic debut. The Lady Wildcats open their season August 27-28 in Statesboro, Ga., in the Bash In The Boro tournament featuring Coppin State, Presbyterian and host Georgia Southern.
