STATESBORO, Ga. - The Bethune-Cookman University volleyball team took the court for the first time in 643 days and dropped their season opener to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foe Coppin State University in three-sets (18-25, 17-25, 20-25) on Friday afternoon at The Bash In The Boro in Statesboro, Ga.
The Lady Wildcats have lost their second straight season opener following the loss. B-CU continues tournament action tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. vs Presbyterian College.
COACH WILLIAMS QUOTE:
"Today's loss was a tough one as we got a chance to face off against one of our former fellow MEAC opponents. Although we didn't come away with the win, I definitely saw some exciting things we can continue to build upon. With several true freshman starting and playing key roles for us, the future is very bright for BCU volleyball. We will regroup, make a few adjustments and get back after it tomorrow."
