HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Imani Reid had nine points in Bethune-Cookman's 58-38 Southwestern Athletic Conference loss at Alabama A&M Monday night.
Nigeria Jones scored 23 points as the Bulldogs (8-11 overall, 6-3 conference) used a 10-1 run to pull away from a 31-30 third quarter deficit then limited the Wildcats (3-15, 2-7) to seven points in the fourth quarter.
In the first half, B-CU cut an early 10-2 deficit to 11-10, but Alabama A&M pulled away to a 24-17 halftime lead.
Kayla White had eight points for B-CU, while
Morgan Beacham added six and
Taylor Williams five.
Bethune-Cookman returns home to host Prairie View A&M Saturday at 2 p.m.
NOTES: Reid and White each had six rebounds … Beacham had four steals... B-CU's 38 points were a season-low while AAMU's 58 was the second lowest for a Wildcat opponent this season.
