DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Emmanuel Corral and Kalyn Gibbs Cross Country Runners of the Week after their outstanding performances at last weekend's Florida State Cross Country Invite, the league office announced Monday.

Corral led the Wildcats in the 8K race at the Florida State Cross Country Invite with a time of 26:27.2. The Wildcats finished 27^th overall as a team at the event.  Gibbs paced the pack of Wildcats in the 5K race at the Florida State Cross Country Invite with a time of 20:35.3. The Wildcats finished 24^th overall as a team.

Both runners receive the first weekly honors of their careers. They mark the second and third Wildcats to receive SWAC honors this season.

The Wildcats will now set their sights on the SWAC Championships, set for Monday, Oct. 24 in Tallahassee, Fla.
