Wildcats Visit Music City for Date With Tennessee State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Wildcats once again look to crash a homecoming party as they hunt for a bounce back win versus the Tigers of Tennessee State, Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. EST at Nissan Stadium.

With the campus closed after sustaining significant damage from Hurricane Ian, the Wildcat football team  has made Nashville its home in preparation for the TSU game. 

This game will mark the second straight week B-CU has been a homecoming opponent. The Wildcats fell last week to Alabama A&M 35-27, erasing an early 14-0 deficit.

KEMARI KEEPS CATCHING 
Averett caught four passes against Alabama A&M  to extend his B-CU pass catching streak to 15 games. He has caught at least one pass in every game as a Wildcat. 

BYRD IS THE WORD
Que'Shaun Byrd registered two touchdowns in last week's loss at Alabama A&M, the fourth time in his career he's scored twice in a game… Byrd's 162 yards against Grambling was his third 100-yard game of his career; He had his longest run of his career with an 81-yarder in the first quarter.
 
KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES
Jalon Jones has a season-high 353 yards passing last week against Alabama A&M. He's completed 55 percent of his passes or better in three of the four games this year.
 
LIFE OF RILEY
WR Marcus Riley has caught a touchdown in the last two games. He caught just one in his first two seasons at B-CU.
 
OMARI ON TOP
Omari Hill-Robinson has registered an interception in his last two games. He also had back-to-back games with picks in 2021, registering them against Alcorn State and Grambing.
 
LEE THE LEADER
Wide receiver Dylaan Lee has caught a pass in all four games this season, including five at Miami and five last week against Alabama A&M…. His 2022 yardage total has already passed last year's 185 … he has seven straight games with multiple catches.


All-Time Series
TSU has won the last two meetings in the series, the last a 34-3 decision in 2018. B-CU's last two victories in the series have both come in Nashville, a 16-13 decision back in 1987 and a 12-9 nailbiter in 2014.
