Late Run Sinks Wildcats in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – Runs early and late for the Buccaneers proved enough as the Wildcats fell, 78-63, Monday night in Charleston, SC.

How it Happened

It took the Buccaneers (2-2, 0-0 Big South) only two minutes to jump out to a double-digit lead thanks to some hot shooting and a slow Wildcats start.

B-CU (2-3, 0-0 SWAC) cut the Charleston Southern lead to as low as seven in the second half, but the Buccaneers snuffed out all Wildcats' hope with 11 straight points on the way to the 15-point victory.

Joe French led the Wildcats in scoring with 16. He scored all 16 points in the first half.

Kevin Davis scored 13, while Marcus Garrett followed with 10. Garrett led the Wildcats in rebounding with 7 boards.
