JACKSON, Miss. – Kayla White scored 15 points in Bethune-Cookman's 83-64 Southwestern Conference setback at Jackson State Monday night.
Ameysha Williams double-doubled with 24 points and 13 rebounds as the Tigers (15-6 overall, 13-0 conference) won their 13th consecutive game.
B-CU (5-17, 4-9) got off to a strong start behind
Camary Harris, taking a 23-18 lead on a White jumper with 7:17 remaining in the second quarter. Jackson State rallied to take a 35-30 halftime lead and then scored 30 points in the third quarter to pull away.
Harris and
Morgan Beacham each scored 14 for B-CU, while
Tania White added 10.
B-CU returns home to face Alabama A&M Saturday at 2 p.m.
