@BCUWBB Celebrates Senior Day Against AAMU

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Camary Harris scored 13 in Bethune-Cookman's 68-54 Southwestern Athletic Conference setback to Alabama A&M Saturday in Moore Gym.

Nigeria Jones' 25 points led AAMU (11-13 overall, 9-5 conference) as the Lady Bulldogs used a 16-0 run to pull away from a 14-14 second quarter tie for a 31-17 halftime lead. They led by as many 19 in the third quarter.

Bethune-Cookman (5-18, 4-10) made it 55-50 on two Kayla White free throws with 2:56 remaining but could not pull any closer.

Kayla Clark gave B-CU its only lead at 14-13 on a Kayla Clark three-point play with 7:58 remaining in the second quarter.

Tania White was the only other Wildcat in double figures with 11.

The Wildcats play their home finale Monday at 5 p.m. against Alabama State.

HEAD COACH JANELL CRAYTON
"We played a really good second half, but we dug ourselves too big a hole. We came  out flat that's a good team we played and they took advantage of it. It's hard not to just play with a good team, but play 14 points better."

"We fought hard in the end and I'm proud of that. I liked our determination, I liked our press. "

"Both Tania and Camary played hard. They've been a pleasure to coach, even if just for one year.

NOTES: Harris and White, both members of the 2019 NCAA tournament team, were honored in pregame Senior Day ceremonies … White and Clark each had nine points, with Clark posted a team-high seven rebounds … White hit a season-high two three pointers and reached double figure scoring for the ninth time this season … Harris hit a season-high six field goals and reached double-figures for the fourth time in the last five games.
