DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kayla Clark's 16-point, 15-rebound double-double led a balanced scoring effort as Bethune-Cookman downed Texas Southern 71-67 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game Monday in historic Moore Gym.
Imani Reid added 15 as the Wildcats (4-16 overall, 3-8 SWAC) snapped a five-game losing streak.
Texas Southern (6-12,6-5) led 49-47 entering the fourth quarter, but B-CU took the lead at 55-53 on a
Camary Harris three-pointer with 8:02 remaining.
The Wildcats built a 67-59 lead on a Clark lay-up with 3:12 remaining, but Texas Southern closed the gap to 70-67 on Adriana Avant's lay-up with 12 seconds to play. Harris sank a free throw with five seconds left to seal the victory.

Kayla White each scored 10 points for B-CU, who jumped out to an early 13-1 lead and led 23-14 at the end of the first quarter.
Atayla Bridges led Texas Southern with 23.
B-CU plays at Alcorn State on Saturday.
