DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman plays the second of its three Daytona Beach games when the Wildcats host Grambling State in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game Saturday at Daytona Stadium. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
After this game, B-CU won't be back in Daytona Beach until it hosts Alabama State for homecoming on November 5.
Bethune-Cookman (0-2) is coming off a bye week after falling to Celebration Bowl champion South Carolina State 33-9 two weeks ago while Grambling State (1-2)played Jackson State – also a Celebration Bowl participant – and lost 66-24.
The Wildcats are trying to avoid a second consecutive 0-3 start. The Wildcats have had just four 0-3 starts in program history: 1958 (finished 1-7), 1992 (4-7), 1993 (1-10) and 2021 (2-9).
Bethune-Cookman has won the last three meetings with the Tigers – a 36-23 decision in 2014 and a 56-53 barnburner in Grambling that marked
Terry Sims' first victory as the Wildcats' Head Coach. B-CU won 31-14 last year behind three
Jimmie Robinson III touchdowns.
HOME COOKING

2014: Trailing 23-22 entering the final frame, the Wildcats got rushing touchdowns from Danny Dillard and Drexler Dixon while the defense held the Tigers to one first down and 25 yards in the final 15 minutes.
