BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman's
Jakobi Heady Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Basketball Impact Player of the Week, announced Tuesday, Dec. 12, from the league office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Sophomore guard
Jakobi Heady was the catalyst for the Wildcats' dominant win over South Carolina State last weekend. He put up 20 points on 7/16 shooting and was able to hit three of his five three-point attempts. Heady was also the Wildcats' leading rebounder with eight, while also collecting two assists, a steal, and a block.
It marks the first weekly honor of Heady's career. He becomes the second Wildcat in as many weeks to take home SWAC weekly honors after
Zion Harmon was named co-player of the week on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
