DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's Chanel Wilson has been named a Box To Row First Team All-American, it was announced Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

The graduate student from Powder Springs, Ga., and an Indiana University transfer, averaged 16.9 points per game this season, leading the Wildcats in scoring and finishing second among Southwestern Athletic Conference scorers.

She scored Wilson in double figures 24 of 28 games this season, including 10 games where she scored at least 20 points.

Also, Wilson She was third in the league in overall field goal percentage (.409), while leading the league in three-point field goals made per game (2.4). Her 77.3 percent free throw percentage ranked her ninth in the SWAC for that category as well.

Additionally, she was 11th in the league in assists, registering 67 on the season (2.4 per game).

Bethune-Cookman finished 11-18 overall and 10-8 in SWAC play, a five-win improvement over 2021-22's final record.
