DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Hylan Hall provided all the offense the Wildcats needed as they took the series from Florida A&M on a 6-3 victory, Sunday afternoon at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
How It Happened
The Wildcats (15-12, 7-2 SWAC) jumped on the Rattlers quickly as
Hylan Hall sent a ball off the scoreboard in left field, scoring leadoff hitter
Colton Olasin.
Florida A&M (13-15, 7-2 SWAC) took one back in the top of the second on an RBI double.
Hall added more insurance for the Cats in the bottom of the second with a single through the left side that scored
Jeremy Garcia and
Brian Perez to make 4-1.
FAMU threatened again in the third and the fifth, with an RBI single and solo homer pulling them within one at 4-3.
The top of the order came through again for B-CU in the sixth as
Garrett Chun singled to score Perez and push the score to 5-3.
Hall capped off his day with another RBI single in the eighth that finished off the day for B-CU at 6-3.
Daniel Gaviria made the start and took the win for the Wildcats. He allowed three earned runs on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
Pablo Torres came in first in relief. He struck out the side in the sixth, finishing with four total while allowing only two hits and no walks.
Joan Gonzalez earned his fifth save of the season in two innings, striking out three and allowing no baserunners.

- Hylan Hall finished the afternoon 3-5 with a run scored and five RBI.
- Garrett Chun also enjoyed a three-hit day with a walk and an RBI
- Brian Perez was the only other Wildcat with multiple hits. He finished 2-3 with a walk.
- The Wildcats struck out only once as a team.
