BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) officially announced its 2023 ESPN linear and digital platform games for the 2023 season on Tuesday, June 25, with Bethune-Cookman set to appear in five games across the ESPN Family of networks. The announcement came during the league's annual SWAC Media Day housed inside the Sheraton-Birmingham.

Bethune-Cookman will begin the season Saturday, Sept. 2, taking on Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee at 7 p.m. ET. The game will stream on ESPN+ as the first ESPN broadcast of the season for the Wildcats.

The Maroon and Gold will face its second FBS opponent of the season when traveling to the University of Miami on September 14, for a Thursday night game airing on the ACC Network powered by ESPN.

The following weekend, B-CU travels to two-time defending SWAC champion Jackson State for the W.C. Gordon Classic in Jackson, Mississippi. The game will be streaming on ESPN+ with kickoff set for 3 p.m. ET.

Bethune-Cookman plays its second Thursday night game of the 2023 campaign when the Wildcats host SWAC Eastern Division foe Mississippi Valley State to Daytona Stadium on November 2, at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ESPNU.

The final ESPN regular season broadcast game will feature the Cats against in-state opponent Florida A&M in the
Florida Blue Florida Classic at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday, Nov. 18, with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m. ET.

Several other key SWAC games across the 2023 schedule will feature on the ESPN Family of networks, including the Labor Day Classic (Prairie View A&M at Texas Southern), the State Fair Classic (Grambling vs. Prairie View A&M), the Magic City Classic (Alabama A&M vs. Alabama State) and the Boombox Classic (Jackson State at Southern University).

The 2023 Cricket SWAC Football Championship game will air on ESPN2 on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m. ET in Atlanta.
