DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. -  Victor Kibet and Valencia Butler of B-CU Cross Country have been named Wildcats of the Week for the week of October 21 - October 27, 2024.

True Freshman Victor Kibet is the 2024 SWAC Individual Cross Country Champion as he took home the individual men's title finishing the race with a time of 25:58.4. His performance throughout the season earned him a spot on the All-SWAC First Team, as well as being named SWAC Runner of the Year. This is his third time being named Wildcat of the Week.

Valencia Butler also showed a strong performance at the SWAC Championships. She led the Wildcats, finishing 20th out of 75 runners with a 20:49.2 finish. This is Butler's second time being named Wildcat of the Week.

Each week, The Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications recognizes one male and one female student-athlete through the Wildcats of the Week award. This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of Wildcat Athletics.
