Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.

▪ As a team, Bethune-Cookman sits atop the SWAC in defense and allowing just 61.7 points per game and leads the league with a plus-six (+6.0) scoring margin. Opponents are shooting at 36.7 percent which is also lowest in the SWAC to put the Maroon and Gold atop the league in that category as well.
▪ Bethune-Cookman is forcing its opponents to an average of 21.3 turnovers per game, while averaging 18.5 points per game off turnovers. In all, B-CU has registered 148 points off turnovers across the season.
▪ Last week,
Asianae Nicholson was tabbed B-CU Women's Wildcat of the Week (Dec. 1-Dec. 7) as she turned in her third double-double of the season when the Cats played host to Mercer in what would be the Wildcats final home contest of the 2024 calendar year.
▪ Head Coach
Janell Crayton Del Rosario is seeking her 35th all-time win as a head coach and at Bethune-Cookman.
▪
Daimoni Dorsey, a junior from Baltimore, Maryland, is averaging 6.9 points per game while starting six games this season, turning in double-figures in three of those contests.
▪ Freshman center
Mya Johnson has recovered from an early injury to play in three games which includes away to Virginia at home to Mercer.
▪ Junior forward
Asianae Nicholson from South Euclid, Ohio, has led Bethune-Cookman in scoring for two games, while she has led the Wildcats in rebounding in six of the seven games played thus far on the campaign.

BCU VS. MIAMI SERIES
▪ Miami holds a commanding 1-9 advantage in the all-time series against Bethune-Cookman.
▪ Bethune-Cookman's lone win in the series came via 80-72 decision in Daytona Beach back on Feb. 20, 1988.
▪ The Hurricanes have won eight consecutive in the series including a 55-43 victory in the last meeting on Nov. 12, 2021, in Coral Gables.
▪ The Hurricanes have won the last four games by an average of 27 points per game.
LAST TIME VERSUS MIAMI
Tatum Hayes and Taylor Williams each scored 10 points in Bethune-Cookman's 55-43 setback at Miami. Mykea Gray scored 12 points as the Hurricanes held the Wildcats to three first-quarter points and led from start to finish.
Down 33-13, the Wildcats scored 16 unanswered points to cut the deficit to 33-29 on a
Kayla White free throw with 3:09 remaining in the third quarter. Miami would score six of the next seven points and would build its lead to 52-33 with 6:09 remaining.
Hayes also had five rebounds for Bethune-Cookman. Imani Reid led the team with eight rebounds. Miami native
Kayla Clark and White each added seven points.

▪ Miami suffered its first loss of the season in the Hurricanes last outing against Vanderbilt courtesy an 88-70 decision in the SEC/ACC Challenge in Coral Gables.
▪ The Hurricanes are averaging 77.1 points per game and outscoring opponents by almost 10 points per game.
▪ Three different players are averaging double-figures scoring with Haley Cavinder leading the bunch with 17.4 points per game. Joining her are Cameron Williams (11.8) and Jasmyne Roberts (10.6), respectively.
▪ The Canes are shooting 47.4 percent from the field which includes a 28.7 percent mark from three-point range.
▪ Haley Cavinder is one of the top rebounders on the squad with an average of 6.3 per game, tied at the top by Williams at 6.3 boards per contest.
▪ Miami is producing 15.3 assists per game as Haley Cavinder tops the team with 38 assists individually.
Asianae Nicholson registered a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds as Bethune-Cookman fell to Mercer by a score of 70-64 in women's basketball at Moore Gymnasium. Trailing 12-8 after the first quarter, Bethune-Cookman used a 5-0 run early in the second quarter to take its first lead of the game, 13-12 when
Karianna Woods connected on a pair of free throws, followed by
Chanelle McDonald converting a three-point play at the foul line with 7:06 remaining in the half. The two teams traded buckets over the course of the next five minutes with the lead changing hands six times during that span.
The Wildcats ran the lead to their largest of the game at 21-18 with
Kayla White's fastbreak layup preceding
Asianae Nicholson splitting a pair of free throws with 4:01 showing on the clock. Mercer responded with an 8-0 run of its own when Stephanie Utomi put back a Kayla Smith missed three-point attempt, and forward Chelsy Bautista collected a Talia Harris pass off the break for a layup of her own to put the Bears up, 22-21. Another fastbreak opportunity for the Bears was finished with a Nahawa Diarra layup before Ariana Bennett's extended the visitor's lead, 26-21.
Mercer led 29-24 at the half.
The Bears would use eight points from Harris in the third quarter hitting connecting on two (2) three-pointers – both coming from Harris, as the Bears stretched the advantage 48-42 at the close of the period. Mercer received double digits scoring from three players, led at the top by Diarra's 16-point performance that included an 8-for-12 effort at the free throw line. Behind her were Harris (15) and Ashlee Locke (13), respectfully. Harris also distributed a game-high matching six assists. As a team, the Bears connected on 20 of their 30 attempts at the charity stripe. Bethune-Cookman was topped in scoring by guard
Kayla White with 16 points including a pair of three-pointers. Nicholson turned in her third double-double of the campaign with 14 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Kayla Clark recorded eight rebounds off the bench while Woods dished out six assists from her point guard position.

The Wildcats travel to Cleveland State on Friday, Dec. 13, as
Asianae Nicholson and
Kayla White return to their home state of Ohio. The tip for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
