TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Tennis completed the 2023-24 season Saturday afternoon, as the Wildcats dropped a 4-0 decision away to Florida A&M in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) match played at Althea Gibson Tennis Complex on the FAMU campus.
 
Florida A&M (7-8, 6-1 SWAC) opened by collecting the doubles point with wins at No. 3 and No. 2, respectfully.
 
Rebekkah Gaines and Reagan Harris turned in a 6-0 win versus Bethune-Cookman's duo of Courdeja Clark and Keona Burley at the No. 3 position. Meanwhile, the point was secured with FAMU's Sara Rakim and Genesis Whitelock posting a 6-4 win over BCU's Janet Imbo Nloga and Tuhina Sambhus at the No. 2 spot.
 
Bethune-Cookman (3-16, 2-7 SWAC) used freshman Tuhina Sambhus at No. 3 singles play, as she fell 4-6 in her opening set on court three before the match went unfinished.
 
However, the Rattlers made it 2-0 in the match at No. 6 singles using Larissa Silva's 6-0, 6-0 straight-set win over Courdeja Clark. The second singles point was taken by Reagan Harris at No. 5, courtesy a 6-0, 6-1 win from BCU's Keona Burley.
 
The match was secured as FAMU's Sara Rakim defeated BCU's Janey Imbo Nloga 6-2, 6-0 on court one.
 
For Head Coach Chris Wollett, it was his first full season at the helm after taking over the BCU women's tennis program midway through the 2023 spring campaign.
