BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman's Garret Chun has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Hitter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday, March 4 from the conference headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
Chun, senior outfielder from Jacksonville, saw his torrid start at the plate continue against Big Ten opponent Northwestern over the last weekend of play. In three games, Chun compiled six hits, as well as six RBI, including a three-RBI performance Friday evening. Chun also added a walk and a steal - he did not strikeout on the three-game weekend.

Jose Gonzalez were named SWAC Co-Pitcher and Co-Hitter of the Week, respectively, on February 27
Next up for B-CU, the Wildcats are set for a rematch with FIU on Tuesday, March 5 at 6 p.m. in Miami. The Wildcats defeated the Panthers back on Feb. 29 by a score of 10-4 in the first midweek contest of the season.
