HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - After a lopsided affair in game one, the B-CU offense stalled as Alabama A&M evened up the three game series at 1-1 with a 6-1 win, Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Field
Alabama A&M (10-31, 6-14 SWAC) opened the scoring in the first with a two-out RBI single to make it 1-0. They added two in the second via an RBI double and B-CU throwing error that made it 3-1.Â
A two-run homer in the bottom of the third made it 5-0 for AAMU with B-CU managing only three hits through three.Â
Bethune-Cookman (25-17, 15-4 SWAC) finally got on the board in the fourth as
Manny Souffrain walked, stole second, and came around to score on a
Jorge Rodriguez RBI double down the line in left field.Â
The Bulldogs took that run back in the sixth, capitalizing on another Wildcat error to push the lead to 6-1
From there, the Wildcats managed just one more hit, stranding two in the ninth in the loss.Â
Marcos Gamboa made the start and took the loss. In 3.2 innings, he allowed five runs - four earned, on six hits with three walks and a strikeout.Â

- Jorge Rodriguez was responsible for two of four B-CU hits, finishing the day 2-4 on two doubles with an RBI.Â
- Manny Souffrain stole three bases.
- The Wildcats stranded nine runners.Â
