List Time Out Header

Bethune-Cookman hit .333 as a team in a first set win, but the Braves kept close. Neither team led by more than four, with Alcorn State leading as late as 21-19, but a pair of Kaleigh Williams service aces highlighted a six-point run that finished things off in a 25-21 win.

After falling behind 7-3 in set two, seven straight for B-CU off the serve of Nola Hemphill made it 11-7 before the Braves tied things again at 11-11. Some poor hitting by the Braves allowed the Wildcats to stay in front for the remainder of the set on the way to another 25-21 score.

The Cats put the final touches on the win with a 25-11 third-set win, holding the Braves to a -0.071 hitting percentage in the final frame. The Cats raced in front, 8-1, and never relinquished.
