DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - It was all treats and no tricks for the Wildcats on Halloween as they handled Alabama A&M, 3-1, for the program's ninth consecutive win, the most in a row in program history. The 2025 edition of B-CU Volleyball surpasses last year's squad, which reached a high of eight consecutive wins
After the first set opened to a 4-2 Bulldog advantage, Bethune-Cookman (13-11, 10-2 SWAC) brought in
Nola Hemphill and
Morgan Wingo and erupted to score 14 of the next 16 points on the way to an 18-8 lead in the set.
Alabama A&M (15-9, 6-5 SWAC) made a late rally to pull to within 24-18, but
Ariel Simmons finished things off for the 25-18 win.
The Wildcats continued the run into set two, rushing out to an 8-1 advantage on the serve of
Amya Jennings. Despite 10 B-CU errors in the frame, the early lead was enough as two kills each from Jennings and
Tiyanna Preston propelled the Cats to a 25-20 set victory.
The Bulldogs stabilized things in the third set. Though neither team scored more than three consecutive points, AAMU capitalized on a .355 hittting percentage to take set three, 25-18.
B-CU shored up its attach in the fourth set, hitting .407 and taking advantage of three Bulldog serves into the net. Simmons again shut the door with a swing to take the set, 25-21, and the match.

The Wildcats close out the home schedule with Senior Day on Sunday, Nov. 1 as they host Alabama State. Admission is free.
