BIRMINGHAM - Senior guard Jakobi Heady was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. It is the Wildcats' first weekly honor of the 2025-26 season.

Jakobi Heady was a driving force in B-CU's road win over Ohio. He scored a season-high 20 points on an efficient 7-11 shooting night from the field, while draining two of his four three-point attempts and going 4-5 from the free-throw line. Heady also added four rebounds and three assists, helping the Wildcats pull out the narrow victory.

Heady's Wildcats will once again head out on the road as they face #25 Indiana on Friday. Tipoff is set for noon EST.
