TUSCON - Brayden Burries finished with 20 points, including 18 in the second half, as Arizona pulled away from B-CU 107-71 at the McKale Center.
1st Half
Bethune-Cookman (3-9) was able to keep pace with Arizona (12-0) early on. The game was tied 10-10 with 14:45 remaining following a jumper by
Quentin Heady.
As the half progressed, Arizona was able to create separation thanks to dominant rebounding and converting B-CU turnovers into points. The Wildcats collected ten offensive rebounds, leading to eight second chance points, and generated 24 points off turnovers. Arizona accumulated 21 free-throw attempts compared to just seven for Bethune-Cookman.
B-CU shot 50% from the field and 42% from three-point range but found themselves down 49-35 at halftime.
2nd Half
Arizona was scorching hot from the field in the second, shooting 70% and making all six of their three-point attempts. Brayden Burries scored 18 points in the second after scoring just two in the opening half.
B-CU shot a respectable 46.4%, but their struggles on the defensive end led to a runaway victory for Arizona, 107-71.
- Jordan Johnson led B-CUÂ in scoring with a season-high 18 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting.
- Bethune finished with four players in double-figures (Quentin Heady, Jakobi Heady, Jordan Johnson, Rickey Henderson Jr.)
- Bethune-Cookman shot 48% in the contest, including 40.9% from three.
- Brayden Burries led Arizona with 20 points.
- All five starters scored in double-figures for Arizona.

The Wildcats finish their non-conference schedule with a road contest against Oklahoma State. The game is set for December 29th at 8:00 p.m. EST.
